I applied in an attempt to join the Waupaca County Republican Party months ago - and I still have not been able to get a response from Joel Bartel or anyone within the party. When I had applied, I sent my $5.00 in cash to pay for the yearly due/application fee. They took the $5.00 and deposited it as a “contribution” - and I still have not been accepted into the party or unblocked from their Facebook page. I did not give them permission to use my money toward dues when I haven’t even been accepted into the party.

UPDATE: Finally during the week of August 18, 2025 - I received my check for $5.00 from Joel Bartel with the Waupaca County Republican Party. This $5.00 was from my denied application and membership application fee.
