Administration Squad Cars
Fiscally Responsible?: $100k for 2 Administrative squad cars
I've been working on this piece for some time now and these facts should open your eyes. $96,853.82 is the total year to date amount of money that was spent (including price of squad cars) on TWO squad cars for NON-sworn administrative positions. These squads are primarily being used to travel between home and work.
This doesn't even account for the remaining administrative squad cars - all whom ARE sworn positions: Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Detective Captain, Patrol Captain, and Patrol Lieutenant. If non-sworn positions get $38,000-$53,000 squad cars, then what does the Sheriff (#1) and Chief Deputy (#2) get to drive? Not to mention that they rarely ever leave the office during their shifts. That information is coming next.
My friends, this is your tax money being spent. The Sheriffs Office had to recently cut a position in their dispatch center because of the $2 million deficit.. yet we have administration driving around in luxury type vehicles. You have a say in this craziness!
Please see below for documentation links:

Capt. Yewer-Jones Squad Info Request
Reference above - is all of the documentation that shows the complete negligence and incompetence of Waupaca County Sheriff's Office administration - when it comes to spending tax payer dollars
If you look at Capt. Wogsland's fuel receipts, he puts fuel in all over the State of Wisconsin - Rosholt, Iola, Larsen, Plover, Stevens Point, Green Bay, and even Manitowoc. He put on 17,998 miles in 8 months. Is this squad being used for family trips or Sheriffs Office business?
If you look at Lt. Russell's documentation, you will see multiple pages of fuel receipts by multiple badge numbers. In these receipts, you will see several car washes - two that were purchased by the same badge number right in a row (one basic and one ultimate car wash). Yes, small dollars but it all adds up to be substantial money. FYI - There is a squad washing station at the Sheriffs Office.
Reference calls for service, neither Capt. Wogsland, Capt. Yewer-Jones, or Lt. Russell have responded to any calls for service or major events from January 1st thru August of 2025.
This doesn't account for squad cars currently being used in the same manner by Sheriff Wilz and Chief Deputy Studzinski. I can tell you this.. they aren't driving the bare minimum.. and they rarely ever respond to calls.
In checking with 2 counties similar in population, their civilian positions don't get take home squad cars.
This information is going to be forwarded to the County Finance committee, Law Enforcement committee, and the entire County Board.
Again, I appreciate the hard work that is done to make a Sheriffs Office run smoothly - but this spending craze needs to be checked.
