Justin emailed us about a phone call he received the day prior while working his part-time job as a police officer in Shiocton. An officer from a neighboring police department called Justin on the phone to tell him about an experience he had while interviewing for a full-time deputy position with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office. He said that Lt. Wiskirchen sat him down in his office to tell him that he didn’t get the job, because he had no police officer experience in Waupaca County. Justin notes that The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office had recently hired several deputies with no experience in Waupaca County. Lt. Wiskirchen continued to tell this officer that they were afraid he was getting bad training from working close to Shiocton PD. Justin asked him to write something up regarding this situation.
